Harrogate Mosque Appeal 2022
All praise be to Allah, we have been able to secure the property on 1st April 2022, just before the start of Ramadan.
We were able to do this based on your generous contributions and a last minute interest free loan from a local community member to cover the shortfall.
Therefore we'll still need your contributions to pay this loan back and also to commence the next stage which is the full renovation of the property.
At the moment the property is in a derelict state and will require a lot of work in order to be useable so fundraising will continue until we are able to raise funds for legal fees, surveys, replacement of roof, plumbing and electricals, ablution areas, internal renovations & partitions, fixtures & fittings and windows & doors.
But we have at least secured the property and are grateful to all who supported us. This has been a 12 year journey, raising money in small amounts and making offers on properties over the years.
We are so proud of our growing and loyal community and hope to establish the vision of an inclusive and welcoming facility that the city of Harrogate can be proud of.

Discover Islam Day 2021
As part of the set of events to celebrate UK Inter Faith Week,, Harrogate Islamic Association organised an event which was open for all residents of Harrogate no matter what their background. The purpose of this day was to engage with members of our community and invite them to gain a better understanding of Islam and our way of life. One of our missions is to promote and foster cross cultural understanding and harmony so we look forward to holding many similar events in the future.
